The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it's alarmed regarding the superior variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] sassa status is to reach-out to your high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The service level established for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it hard with the Workplace to attend to all people who go read more to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more means to enable the servicing of all consumers and maximize access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
